Music and Health Workshop with UP College of Music

On November 26, 2024, the Philippine General Hospital Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Performing Arts Medicine team partnered with the University of the Philippines College of Music Strings and Chamber Music Department for a Music and Health Workshop. Faculty and resident physicians, including Drs. Jennifer Yang, Frances Carlos, Issa Abelita, and John de Castro, led discussions on injury risk factors, prevention strategies, nutrition, exercise, ergonomics, and mental health. The session featured participatory activities such as relaxation techniques, warm-up routines, and stretching exercises. PAMANA PH extends its gratitude to the Strings and Chamber Music Department for allowing the team to share our insights into musician health and injury preventions, fostering a collaborative effort in promoting musicians' well-being.
